Illegal sale of sexual enhancement tablets
TWO men have been arrested in Uitenhage for selling unregistered medication to the public and dispensing while not being registered as doctors or pharmacists.
Uitenhage police spokesman Superintendent Priscilla Naidu said the men had been arrested in a police trap last Thursday. Reacting to a tip-off, the police acted as buyers and were sold the illegal sexual enhancement tablets and gel.
Police confiscated 144 Kamagra tablets, 13 oral Kamagra gel packs and 58 Cialis tablets.
Naidu said: “The tablets are known to have the same effect as Viagra.”
A pack of four tablets is sold for R100, while the gel goes for R25 for two packets. The tablets were imported from India
