Richland County jailer says he has erectile dysfunction
MANSFIELD — James Campain said today he suffers from erectile dysfunction and could not have engaged in sexual relations with any Richland County Jail inmates.
Campain took the stand this morning on the fourth day of his trial. He faces 14 charges, including three counts of sexual battery and one count of gross sexual imposition, for alleged misconduct while he was assigned to transport prisoners.
Campain, 58, of 694 Winding Way spent about two and a half hours on the stand.
He and First Assistant Prosecutor Brent Robinson had several tense exchanges. Robinson questioned Campain about his diagnosis and why no medical records had been entered into evidence.
